What are the password requirements?

I keep trying to set a complex password, it keeps getting accepted by the system, but that I cannot log in with that password.

As I am using a password vault and wrote down the password when I made it, and these two values are identical, I can eliminate user error (the password vault copied what I entered into OpenDrive, I didn't manually set it).

So, what are the limitations on:

Length?

Special Characters?

Minimum/maximum complexity?

In my reality, there should be no limitations on the maximum complexity of a password, ever. Why would there be?

As an example, try this password: 4782_Kwdt9gr?:w  (I didn't try that one, but that is similar in complexity to the one that keeps failing for me)

  Sorry for the late reply. WE have tested the sample password you sent us and could find no problems with it. It worked just fine.

  The only restrictions we have for passwords is that they must be at least 5 characters.

  As far as maximum characters go, there is really no limit, because any entered password is actually converted to a 32 character hashed string and we compare this string every time the user enters the password...so basically you can enter anything, but the hashed 32 character long string of what you entered must match our record.

  We would like to get a look at the password you were trying to use, however, to check the parsing of the call between the client and our API. Please change your password and send us a copy of the only one in question to support {at} opendrive.com or log into the support center and send a ticket from there.
