Is it possible to customize the storage location of data that is synced with a local system directory? I want to place some local directories in the root of a directory I created on the server, but I cannot.
I end up having a sync rule like "opendrive\Work\Work" instead of "opendrive'work\" like I want.
Any ideas?
This is happening because sync tasks are two-way. So what happens is that, when you are trying to upload your files automatically, it is not only creating new folders on your OpenDrive account, but new folders are being created on your computer as well.
To avoid this, it is better to set the initial upload up as a backup task. Backups are one way, so you will create the new folders you need to automatically on OpenDrive, but they will not be created on your computer. This will avoid the redundancy of the extra directory \Work\Work instead of just \Work.
Once the backup task is complete, and you verify that the files and folders have been uploaded correctly, you can then set a sync task to update those locations. This way, you will no longer be creating those extra folders unless you actually need them to contain files.
